About This Role
Caregiver — East County
Comfort Keepers San Diego · El Cajon, La Mesa, Santee & surrounding areas.
We work with you on scheduling and assignments — your availability and preferences matter to us. We're especially interested in caregivers with high-end private-duty experience and those with mental health or behavioral health backgrounds.
Your rate reflects your experience. Caregivers with 3+ years, a CNA or HHA credential, or behavioral health experience start at the higher end of that range.

Caregivers here move from Caregiver to Senior Caregiver, and from there into Client Care, Scheduling, or Operations — depending on your strengths and what you want next. We've had caregivers make every one of those transitions. Stay a caregiver if that's your calling. If it's not, there's somewhere to go.
What you'll do
- Provide in-home care for seniors — personal care, hygiene, mobility, and transfers
- Medication reminders, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
- Transportation to appointments and errands
- Companionship and emotional support, including for clients living with dementia, anxiety, depression, or other cognitive or behavioral health conditions
- Observe and report changes in client condition to the care team
Required
- Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check
- Authorized to work in the United States
- High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred
- 1+ years of professional caregiving experience (3+ years for top pay tiers)
- CNA, HHA, or home health aide certification
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience with dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, anxiety, depression, or behavioral health conditions
- Experience in high-end or private estate settings with demonstrated professionalism and discretion
Service area
El Cajon, La Mesa, Santee, Lakeside, Alpine, Spring Valley, Lemon Grove, Grossmont, and the surrounding East County communities. Assignments are primarily within this area.
